During a routine inspection
People that used the practice told us that they were supported to be involved in all aspects of their treatment. Everyone told us that they would recommend the practice to other people. One person told us, 'It is a small friendly practice and the dentist is so kind and patient.'
During our inspection visit we spoke with the dentist, practice manager and two dental nurses.
People received care and treatment that was planned to meet their needs. Any change in people's medical and dental health needs was taken into account when planning any treatment. We saw that people's dental records provided a clear record of treatment provided.
There were clear procedures to ensure that all dental instruments used were thoroughly cleaned and sterilised between each use. People we spoke with said the practice was clean and hygienic and they were satisfied with the standards of cleanliness. One person commented, "It is a lovely, clean practice, I don't mind waiting for treatment here."
Information was available should people want to make a complaint. People said they had not had cause to complain but were confident any concerns raised would be listened to and addressed.
