During a routine inspection
Patients told us that treatment options were clearly explained to them. One person said 'They sat me down and took time to explain the risks and options to me. I'm kept up to date on progress'. Another told us their dentist 'Always tells me in advance what's planned for the next visit. They give me the good and the bad option so I am fully prepared and know what to expect'.
The standard of the environment throughout the practice was good. It appeared visibly clean, tidy and well maintained. The provider had a number of infection control policies in place. These provided clear instructions to staff on processes such as cleaning, decontamination of equipment, hand washing and waste disposal.
The dental team comprised of a principal dentist, three associate dentists and ten dental nurses. There were sufficient, qualified staff available to respond to unexpected changing circumstances in the practice.
The practice had a complaint procedure in place and this was on display in the waiting area and readily accessible to patients.
