During a routine inspection
People told us their privacy and confidentiality was protected by the staff and dentists, and they were always spoken to in a respectful manner. People said that the dentist had always asked them for an update on their health at each visit and had included relevant information in their treatment plan. One person we spoke with said: 'they always ask me about my health and I think that is important'. Another person said: 'this is my first visit as it was an emergency, but I have been treated very well and they gave me a last minute appointment, which is of great help to me'.
People told us and we saw that the practice treatment rooms were clean and the dentists' and nurses' practices were hygienic. All of the people we spoke with said that they never had any concerns about the environment or the practices of staff.
Dentists were qualified and nursing staff had appropriate training and supervision. All of the staff we spoke with said they were supported by the practice to update their training to do their job safely. Three dental nurses were in the process of completing their dental nursing qualifications.
