Our view of the service
We had previously undertaken a comprehensive inspection under our previous methodology of Mr C Carre BDS Dental Practice on 14 December 2023 under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. We found the registered provider was not providing well-led care and was in breach of regulation 17 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. We undertook a follow up onsite focused assessment on 28 June 2024. This assessment was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to confirm that the practice was now meeting legal requirements. We found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Infection control procedures followed published guidance. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. Patients were treated with dignity and respect. At the time of our assessment, we found that patients could access care, support and treatment when required. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. The practice is in Stretford, Greater Manchester and provides NHS dental care and treatment for adults and children. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse and a receptionist. The practice had 1 treatment room. During the assessment we spoke with the dentist and the receptionist.
