During a routine inspection
All the patients we spoke with had been with the practice for many years. One person we spoke with said 'I have been coming here since I was a child and now my children come here too'. People we spoke with told us they were given enough information to make a decision. One person said 'the dentist talks me through what I need. I can see the x rays and the dentist has a camera which can show me the damage'. We saw the receptionists greeting people in a warm, friendly and professional manner. People told us that 'everyone is always friendly here they put you at your ease'.
We looked at treatment plans which evidenced that patients were being given a range of options and were given time to consider these options prior to commencing their treatment.
We saw that all areas of the practice were very clean on the day of our visit. Patients we spoke with told us 'the treatment room and instruments are always spotless. I know as I am involved in sterile environments' another said ' oh yes the practice is spotless'.
A member of staff we spoke with told us 'I enjoy working here, we are a good team'.
The practice gained feedback from patients who used the service verbally, by questionnaire and patients could comment anonymously via a suggestion box.
