3 One One Dental Care
All Inspections

During a routine inspection
We selected two patient records from the day list . The dentist was able to talk through these records and evidence that patient care had been continually assessed and documented. One record had recently been updated to reflect changes to a patient's medication for a pre-existing medical condition. We were told that any changes were discussed before treatment commenced. This ensured that patients were protected against the risks of receiving inappropriate or unsafe care.
Staff we spoke with demonstrated an understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. They were able to describe possible types of abuse such as physical abuse and dental neglect. They explained what they would do in the event of a safeguarding alert.
The waiting area and treatment rooms were clean and clutter free. Both patients spoke positively about the cleanliness of the treatment room and overall environment. One patient referred to the environment as 'excellent' and added that there were 'no problems.'
Patient records indicated where a medical condition might impact on dental treatment. This meant that the provider had accurate records to help identify and manage risks in relation to providing dental care.
