During a check to make sure that the improvements required had been made

The provider had taken appropriate action to put in place processes to protect people using the service from the risk of abuse harm or neglect. They had implemented a new practice policy and procedure for safeguarding of vulnerable adults. Staff were now aware of the appropriate action they must take, if they suspect people using the service were at risk of abuse, harm or neglect and who to report their concerns to. Formal training on safeguarding of vulnerable adults had been planned for all staff.

During a routine inspection

The registered manager told us they would be closing the practice in January 2013 due to a lack of demand for the service. They said they only saw people with follow up appointments. On the day of our visit no patients were being seen or treated. We were unable to speak with people who used the service for the purpose of this inspection.
