During a routine inspection
People told us they were well looked after by the staff who, they said, were kind and caring. Visiting family members confirmed this and said they had every confidence in the manager and staff to look after their relatives. We saw that the care given was professional and compassionate.
People were given their prescribed medicines safely and at the right times, and appropriate records were held to demonstrate this.
Staff were well trained, experienced and caring. They had been recruited only after the appropriate checks had been carried out to make sure they were fit to work with vulnerable people.
People told us the staff listened to them and responded to concerns. Family members confirmed this. However, we found that no records were kept about how complaints were handled and resolved.
Other records in the home were also lacking in terms of accuracy and accessibility, and did not fully reflect the good care observed and reported.
