Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 7 October to 16 October 2024. Wolverley Surgery is an NHS GP practice located in Wolverley, a small village on the outskirts of Kidderminster in Worcestershire. We conducted this assessment due to it being an unrated service. We assessed 33 quality statements across safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. At this assessment, we found there was a strong focus on learning and staff were encouraged to raise concerns. Staff involved people in decisions about their care and treatment and supported them to ask questions. We saw examples of how staff treated patients with kindness, compassion and dignity. Leaders and staff built good relationships with their patients and knew them well. There were clear governance systems in place which were regularly reviewed and updated.
People's experience of this service
People were very positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent National GP Patient Survey results showed the practice was significantly better than the national averages for ease of contacting the practice and patients overall experience. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG described how supportive the practice was. People were very satisfised with the services they received.
