Our view of the service
The Medical Centre Crabbs Cross is a GP practice providing primary medical services to the residents of Redditch in Worcestershire. The practice delivers services from one location. The practice is registered with the Care Quality Commission under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 to provide the following regulated activities, diagnostic and screening procedures, midwifery and maternity services, surgical procedures and treatment of disease, disorder, or injury. They currently provide a service to 3225 patients. We carried out an announced assessment of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. Due to a change in their registration with CQC the practice was unrated.
People's experience of this service
Feedback from patients was positive regarding experiences of care. They had no concerns about waiting times for an appointment and liked being able to see a clinician of their choice. Patients stated they liked the continuity of care a smaller practice offered and this was good for their health and wellbeing. They said they could now choose between seeing a male of female GP which had been an improvement. Patients felt they were treated with dignity and respect by all staff from the moment they contacted the practice.
