During a routine inspection

We obtained feedback from three people who were using the practice on the day of the inspection. All expressed high levels of satisfaction with the service they received. Each told us of their high regard for the dentist and spoke of their very good relationship with the dentist and other staff working in the practice. They also confirmed that they, and their children (where applicable) were provided with enough information and explanations about their proposed treatment options, which included information about associated costs where applicable.

Each person we spoke with said that that this practice and its staff were fun, safe, courteous, professional and provided excellent care and treatment. One person said "I used to be a bit nervous about going to the dentist, but they are so good here I soon got over it and now I don't give it a second thought". Another said 'I always feel respected and involved and I am always able to ask questions about the treatment' and one mother of young children said "They look after the boys really well".

We found that detailed records were correctly kept, recording history and treatment. These records were organised by a mixed system of paper records and a sophisticated computerised system. Mechanisms were in place to alert clinical staff of important medical details that helped to make sure people were not placed at any unnecessary risk of harm.
