During a routine inspection
People were assessed and their treatment was provided in accordance with their orthodontic needs. This included an assessment of people's general and dental health. We spoke with one young person who said, 'They asked me lots of questions about it [health].' The parent of another young person said, 'They will always see us straight away if we have to come in for a breakage [to braces].'
The practice worked to its own infection control policy and operated decontamination procedures that were in accordance with Department of Health Guidance.
Staff were supported in their role because the provider ensured they received appropriate and regular training.
The provider used a range of audits to ensure that systems and practices were safe and effective. The provider also took account of complaints and comments and sought feedback from people about improving the service.
