During a routine inspection
We saw a patient come out from consultation understanding what appointments she needed and the reasons for this. Patient's needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan. The practice manager explained how every patient was asked to complete their medical history and this was updated and signed at every visit.
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. The practice was clean and records showed that it was cleaned daily. There was a cleaning policy and evidence that items were correctly colour coded.
Staff received appropriate professional development. There were regular staff meetings held at monthly intervals with minutes had been signed by all those staff members that had attended.
We saw that there was a detailed system of monitoring the quality of services through regular auditing and this was tracked within the audit files. We were shown the Statement of Purpose describing the service activities at the practice.
