During a routine inspection
During our visit we checked and were assured that people using the service had access to treatment in private. We asked people who used the service whether they were involved in planning their treatment and offered treatment choice. We met and spoke with staff and checked records. We found that records for people who used the service and for staff were completed well. We toured the premises and were satisfied that people received safe and effective treatment in a clean environment. We saw that the risks of cross infection were reduced by following effective infection control procedures.
The people we spoke with told us;
- "I've been given an on the day appointment in the past."
- "I chose to have a tooth out. They explained various options."
- "I've been coming for over 30 years and I've never had a bad experience.'
- 'I have recommended this practice to many friends and family members. Whether you are an NHS or private patient here you seem to be treated the same, they take their time, you are not rushed."
- 'I actually declined treatment once. No pressure was put on me to change my mind."
