During a routine inspection
Patients said they were satisfied with the service they received. They said they were able to make appointments when needed including emergency appointments. They said they were involved in decisions about their treatment and all options were discussed with them. Patients said the practice was always clean and clinicians always wore protective equipment when providing treatment.
Treatment records documented separated costs for NHS and private treatment. They contained medical histories, previous treatments, soft tissue assessments and information on people's gum health.
Clinical staff told us they had cleaning protocols for treatment rooms and the decontamination rooms. We saw the practice met Department of Health standards for decontaminating dental instruments.
Staff records contained certificates of training related to dentists, dental professionals and dental nurses continuing professional development.
