During a routine inspection
Infection control policies and procedures were in place which protected people using the service from the risk of infection. The practice had a separate decontamination room which was in line with best practice and we observed that instruments were properly cleaned.
Systems were in place to protect people from the risks of inappropriate or unsafe care and treatment. Risks within the practice had been assessed and an accident book was in place. The practice monitored the quality of services provided by means of audits and patient questionnaires and changes had been made as a result. When we asked patients if they would recommend the practice to others one person said 'It's a wonderful practice here. I couldn't wish for better. They are all lovely from the minute you walk in.'
