During a routine inspection
We saw from the records consent was sought from people appropriately before any treatment began. Clear information was provided to people about possible treatment options and the various costs involved. People told us they felt well informed and involved in discussions about their treatment plan. They said the dentist always explained the risk and benefits of specific treatments and provided details of the expected outcome. Medical and dental information was accurately documented.
The premises were clean and well organised and staff routinely followed infection control procedures when carrying out treatments.
Staff received appropriate training to enhance their knowledge and skills and to keep them up-to-date with clinical practice. They were appraised annually and attended regular meetings with their colleagues. Staff told us they were happy in their work.
People told us they felt their opinions mattered to the practice. They were regularly asked for their views about the quality of services.
