During a routine inspection
People told us they were very satisfied with the care and treatment provided at Ewood House. They said all the staff were 'very professional'. They had been involved in their treatment plan and discussed their options before their treatment started. One person told us, 'They always explain everything to me such as what benefits I can expect by having the treatment along with the associated costs. They give good advice and never rush you into making a decision. This is important to me as I am not as young as I was and I'm thinking long term.'
Parents told us they are very good with their children and involved them in decisions about their treatment and they were supported throughout. They see the same dentist and hygienist at all appointments. This helped build their children's confidence Children told us they liked their dentist, they were friendly and nice.
People undergoing treatment told us, they found the staff to be friendly and reported that they were treated with respect and their privacy was maintained at all times. People commented, 'They are well organised and I have never had to wait any length of time. I appreciate that.' And, 'The staff are lovely, very pleasant'.
We were told staff uniforms were always clean, and staff wore protective clothing such as gloves and face masks when they were providing their treatment.
