At our last inspection on 18 September 2012, we found the provider was non compliant with outcome 8, infection control, outcome 14, supporting workers and outcome 16, assessing and monitoring the quality of service provision.
Following the inspection, the provider sent us an action plan. We found at this inspection the provider had made improvements.
Comments people made when talking about the dentist included; 'they are very good and helpful. They gave me a few options and told me the prices'.
All of the people we spoke with told us that making appointments was easy. They were complimentary about the staff working in the practice and said they were treated with respect. Most of the people we spoke with had been attending the practice for a number of years.
People who used the service told us if they required an urgent appointment this was usually accommodated. One person we met with told us they had telephoned the practice that morning for an emergency appointment and had been fitted in straight away.
During our inspection we found there were concerns in relation to the practice's infection control procedures and how the provider identified and monitored the quality of their services.
