Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. Feedback received stated staff were; “Welcoming, polite, very professional”, “Take care in reassuring you in every part of the treatment”, “Friendly, welcoming staff and always polite” and “Took time to chat with my kids putting them at easy prior to checkups as they were nervous of being at the dentist”. Patients felt they were treated as individuals and their personal and cultural needs were respected. Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to all patients. People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles and their wellbeing was supported.
