Our view of the service
Tapera Healthcare Ltd is a domiciliary care service providing personal care to people living in their own homes. The assessment of the service took place between 16 August and 24 September 2024. This assessment was prompted because the service had not been assessed since it was registered with CQC on 9 October 2023. This was a comprehensive assessment during which we looked at the overall quality of the service and provided a rating for the service under the Health and Social Care Act 2008. During this assessment we looked at all 5 key questions and all of the quality statements. At the time of the assessment there were 2 people receiving support. Based on our findings we have rated the service Good. Staff provided care which was safe and responsive to people’s needs. People were supported by caring staff who understood how they liked their care and support to be delivered. Care records included details of the risks to people's safety and how they were to be supported to minimise those risks. Staff understood their duty to safeguard people from abuse and protect them from harm. There were clear policies and processes in place to keep people safe and staff had been trained to recognise and report the signs of abuse.
