Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

1. The Registered Provider must carry out an audit of the medicines received and administered on behalf of all service users accommodated at the location and on the first Monday of each month must send to the Commission a summary of these medicines audits carried out in respect of all service users accommodated at the location. This needs to demonstrate that the below has been completed:
a. A review of the administration recording of all prescribed medicines to ensure completion, accuracy and adherence to good practice guidance.
b. A review of medicines stock to ensure medicines are available at the time required and as prescribed.

2. The Registered Provider must send to the Commission on the first Monday of each month, a written action plan for the previous month detailing any omissions, discrepancies, errors or anomalies identified with medicines administration and management at the location. This action plan is to include:
a. Actions taken by the service to rectify any identified issues, any planned actions and timescales for completion.
b. Actions taken to mitigate risk of occurrence in relation to identified issues.

3. The Registered Provider must carry out an audit of all accidents and incidents occurring within the home, from the date the condition is imposed on your registration, and on the first Monday of each month must send to the Commission a summary of this audit for the previous month. This audit is to include:
a. A list of all accidents and incidents occurring within the location together with an account of what immediate and subsequent actions have been taken as a result of each accident and incident.
b. Details of your identification of any trends or patterns resulting from the accidents and or incidents that have occurred .
c. Any required actions and associated timescales for such actions to be taken to remedy any deficiencies identified.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must accommodate a maximum of 21 service users at Gorselands Residential Home.

The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Gorselands Residential Home.
