Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 25 June to 11 July 2024 Beacon Primary Care is a GP Practice that provides a range of primary medical services from its registered address, Sandy Lane Health Centre, Westgate, Sandy Lane, Skelmersdale, Lancashire, WN8 8LA and 4 branch locations. There were approximately 16840 people registered with the service at the time of our assessment. People could be treated at the regsitered address or 4 branch locations across West Lancashire. This assessment was carried out in response to information of concern we received. We assessed all quality statements in the safe and effective domains. At this assessment, the service was rated as good for the safe and effective key questions.
People's experience of this service
People's experience accessing the practice was mostly positive. People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results from the practice internal Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services. Most recent GP patient survey data was in line or above national averages for the practice.
