Updated 18 November 2024

TC Care Global Ltd is a domiciliary care service providing personal care to adults, including people with dementia or physical disabilities. At the time of this assessment, the service supported 38 people with personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do receive personal care, we also consider any wider social care provided. Dates of assessment 21 November 2024 to 9 January 2025. This was the first assessment of the service. It was also undertaken because of concerns received regarding staffing and the care provided. The service has been rated requires improvement following this assessment. People told us they were provided with good care from dedicated and kind staff. However, we found some issues with medicines and record keeping. We found a breach of regulation relating to good governance. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the shortfalls found at this assessment. Care records did not always contain enough detail about people’s individual care needs and potential risks. The provider had not always effectively assessed risks to reduce potential harm to people and staff. We found some issues with medicines management, including staff leaving medicines with people when they should have been fully monitored during their administration. Staff said they felt supported and told us improvements had been made since the new manager started working at the service. The local authority monitored staff arrangements. The management team were open to feedback and started to address the issues we had raised immediately.
