During a routine inspection

We were unable to fully understand the methods of communication used by individuals living at the home. However, the interaction between people living at the home and those who care for them was closely observed. It was clear from people's body language that they were relaxed and happy with the staff working with them. People moved freely around the home.

We last visited this service on the 26 October 2011 and at that time we did not find evidence of non compliance. However, since that visit concerns had been raised by the local authorities regarding the care of people at other care homes owned by Atlas Project Team Limited in Devon and Berkshire. As a result of these concerns, we carried out a further responsive visit on the 7 December. The findings from both visits are included in this report.
