All Inspections

5 October 2011

During a routine inspection

During our inspection visit, we spoke with four patients who had been attending the service for varying lengths of time. We received very favourable comments about the service and the benefits felt personally by the people who spoke to us.

We were told that the services available were varied and linked to specific care and therapeutic needs, such as the breathing clinic, physiotherapy, or complementary therapies, such as massage.

Staff, including the volunteers were said to be vary caring and supportive. People who spoke to us advised that choices were given at all times, that they were involved in decisions about their programme of care and kept informed regarding progress. All respondents commented on the high level of dignity and respect towards them afforded by staff.

Overall, people who spoke with us were very pleased with the service, in the main indicating that it was an excellent place to come for support and care.
