This assessment took place between 23 January 2025 and 27 February 2025. Lotus Home Care Calderdale is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care services to people in their own homes. During this assessment we looked at 33 quality statements. The service was providing regulated activity to 39 people at the time of the assessment. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. This was the first assessment of the service. During the assessment we found, there were systems and processes in place to ensure people were protected from avoidable harm. Staff were recruited safely and trained to ensure they had the necessary skills. Risks to people were identified, assessed and measures were put in place to minimise risks. Safeguarding procedures were in place however feedback from external professionals indicated the provider could improve their responses to reduce delays. Staff were kind, caring and treated people with dignity and respect.
