During a routine inspection

When we visited Warwickshire County Council Reablement Services South, we spoke with the interim manager for assessment, three supervisory members of staff and a reablement officer. We also spoke by telephone with four care staff, one relative and three people who were using the service.

People we spoke with told us that they were happy with the service being provided and that staff were polite and treated them with dignity and respect. "They always treat me with dignity and respect" and "They maintain my privacy and treat us with respect" were two comments made.

We saw that people had been assessed prior to using the agency and that support plans were in place. We found that the support plans contained information to assist staff with meeting people's care and support needs. Staff we spoke with told us "Information in the green folders is very informative" and "Support plans are in people's home. They provide enough information on the whole."

We found that staff were very positive about the service and their roles. Comments made included "I enjoy my job, I enjoy working with the customers and the team I work with is outstanding." and "Reablement works well for people."
