During a routine inspection
People confirmed that staff were respectful to them and listened to them. Comments included, 'they treat me well' and 'I'm 100% happy with the staff.' We found that the support provided to people promoted their rights, independence and autonomy.
People told us they felt safe using the service, and that they could speak with staff or the manager if they had concerns. There were also monthly meetings at each scheme, at which they could raise concerns. Most people said they found the meetings useful. We found that these meetings contributed to the provider ensuring that there were systems in place to monitor and improve the quality of services.
We found, however, that some staff had been working with people before any aspect of a current Criminal Record Bureau disclosure had been acquired. This may have put people who use the service at risk of being supported by someone barred from working with vulnerable adults.
