During a routine inspection
We spent some time speaking to five health and social care professionals to gain some feedback about the service. They were nurses and social workers/care managers who were involved in the care of people and visit the home on a regular basis. Comments from all of these visitors confirmed that the service provides an overall person centred service that is good at meeting complex physical and mental health care needs, with attention given to meeting individual care needs.
We observed staff promoting individual needs and choices with attention to providing a relaxing and positive home environment with lots of activities and events for people to get involved in. The home has specialist sensory equipment to promote well being and staff demonstrated an awareness of the importance of activity, social engagement and outings to promote health and well being.
The manager and staff have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to meet peoples' care needs. People receive co-ordinated care because the manager and staff have good working relationships with other health and social care services.
