During a routine inspection
We saw that everyone living in the home had a needs assessment in place and these were reviewed and updated regularly. Two people told us that they had been involved in their care planning and attended reviews of care to discuss their progress.
We saw staff supporting people who used the service plan and prepare their lunch. One person who used the service told us that they liked to cook and enjoyed making cakes.
We found that the safeguarding procedures in place protected people from the risk of abuse. We also saw that medication administration arrangement in place ensured that people received their medicines in an appropriate way.
People told us that they enjoyed being busy and liked to attend the activities organised for them. One person told us that they liked to attend college and another person told us that they liked to walk to Redhill and visit the local shops and cafes.
Staff told us that they enjoyed working in the home and felt that they had the relevant training to undertake their roles.
We noted that the provider was non compliant with issues relation to staff recruitment as not all the appropriate documentation relating to employment was in place.
People had access to a complaints procedure in a format they could understand.
