During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people who used the service, who were very happy with the care and support provided by Mears Care Liverpool. One person told us “I look forward to them coming, they are excellent “, and other said “They are all brilliant, they really look after me”. We found people were treated respectfully and given support to have their say in how they wanted to be helped and were supported to do the things they wanted to do.

The people who accessed the service provided by Mears Care were cared for by staff that were appropriated recruited, well trained and experienced at supporting them. The organisation had systems in place to keep the people who used the service safe and monitored the quality of the service provided on a regular basis.

In this report the name of a registered manager appears who was not in post and not managing the regulatory activities at this location at the time of the inspection. Their name appears because they were still a registered manager on our register at the time.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with people who used the service and their family members. They told us staff were respectful when in their home. They also told us they were happy with service provided and some comments made were:

"I never worry about who is going to come, they have all been lovely"

"I haven't had anyone that has been nasty or anything like that"

"One of the carers is always singing and cheers me up"

"If I ever have a problem my daughter rings the office and they get it sorted out"

People who used the service said they were happy with the standard of support and care they received. They knew who to contact if they wished to discuss their care. All said they knew how to make a complaint and would feel comfortable raising concerns with the manager.
