During a routine inspection
We were told by people using the service and their relatives that carers treated them with dignity, respect and they chose the service after discussing the available care and support options. "Met a lot of carers and the lady we got is ideal".
They told us that the service was in regular contact, visited them, asked them what they needed. They also felt they were getting the service they wanted. "I get support when I need it and there are people I can turn to".
They said carers and office staff listened to them, supported them and acted when they felt there was a problem or something was wrong. People were also aware of how to complain and who to.
Carers said they felt well supported by the scheme to provide the care and support that people needed.
We saw that people using the service and their relatives were provided with suitable information to decide if they wished to use the scheme.
Carers were also provided with enough information to decide if they wished to join the scheme.
People were safeguarded by a robust and accessible safeguarding procedure.
There were enough well trained, competent and supported carers and office staff to make sure people had their care and support needs met.
There was a quality assurance system in place that took account of the views of people using the service, relatives and carers and made sure peoples' needs were met in an appropriate and safe way.
