Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must, within 14 days of this condition taking effect, conduct audits, to be completed on a monthly basis, in relation to but not limited to the following:

a) Service users’ risk assessments and care plans to ensure these are accurate, up-to-date and include clear written guidance for staff on how to mitigate known risks. This must include consideration to risks associated with service users’ risk of falls, physical and mental health conditions and mobility needs.
b) Service users’ risk of dehydration to ensure these risks have been assessed, managed and staff are following agreed plans.
c) Monitoring of accidents and incidents to ensure these are consistently reviewed, investigated and action taken to prevent further occurrences.
d) Management and administration of service users’ medication to ensure staff have clear written information and guidance on the safe administration of as required and topical medicines.

On the first Monday of every month thereafter, the Registered Provider must send to the Care Quality Commission a report outlining the outcomes of their monthly audits. This report must summarise audit findings, the improvement actions to be taken, who is responsible for these and timescales for completion

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require personal or nursing care at The Mount Resdiential Home.

The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 18 service users at The Mount Resdiential Home.
