During a routine inspection

During our visit we spoke with four people who lived at the home and two visiting relatives to gain their views of the service. One person commented, "This is a lovely home, it's really friendly and I don't want to go anywhere else." Another person said, "I am very happy living here." A relative explained, "This is a really nice place. The staff have done a great job looking after my mum, she loves it here."

At this visit we observed people's experiences of living in the home and their interactions with each other and with staff. During our observation we saw people looked well-presented and seemed relaxed and well cared for. We saw people looked comfortable when interacting with staff.

The people we spoke with said the environment was clean and in good repair. We found all the areas to be clean and satisfactorily maintained.

People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff and suitable checks were carried out prior to staff commencing work.

People had their comments listened to and acted on. People who used the service said they felt staff listened to them. People said they felt confident to speak with the staff about any concerns they may have.
