All Inspections

During a routine inspection

The people we met and talked with were positive about the staff and the way they were supported by them. They told us: "I like them coming to see me." Relatives we spoke with were also positive about the service and told us: "we look forward to them coming to see us."

A relative told us they thought there was enough staff on duty, including at weekends. They said: "the staff always let me know if there is a change to our usual routine. The people in the office have so much time for me. They really listen and help."

We saw people made choices about the times they wanted a service and the activities they did during the day.

There was information on how to make a safeguarding referral available to staff. The deputy manager told us: 'we have all done safeguarding training and we have yearly updates."

We looked at the care files for people who used the service and saw they did not contain information about people's changing needs.

During a routine inspection

People expressed their appreciation of the service given by the society.

One person told us the support from the society had 'changed our lives'. A person told us how much their relative's health had improved since receiving a service, as the person was now more active physically. They were also taking more of an interest in different matters, so the changes in their mental state was not 'happening so fast'. One person said they felt 'absolutely' safe with their support worker.

Staff told us they felt fully supported by the society. Staff said they received the training and supervision they needed. A support worker described how their line manager 'did listen' to them. Another support worker told us 'I absolutely love it, it's really, really great', about their job.
