Following our visit to the service on the 16 January 2012 we contacted people who received support from Rochdale and Oldham Crossroads. People spoke very positively about the care and support they received. Some of the comments made by people were; 'We can't fault them at all',
'They are wonderful, would be lost without them' and 'They always send the same staff, that's how we prefer it'.
People also expressed that there was always someone to speak with if they needed anything. We were told, 'We can speak to the staff at anytime' and 'There's good communication, they keep us informed'.
One person also told us when asked about issues in relation to privacy and dignity, that this was 'fully considered when providing care'.
People confirmed that if they had any issues they would have no hesitation in contacting the office staff.
One person said they were 'confident any issues would be resolved'. Another person told us that they had never needed to raise any issues or concerns about the support they received.
Some of the people spoken with told us about their concerns due to the current changes within the service and whether this would impact on the care and support they received. People were unsure if long standing arrangements and relationships with known staff would be affected as the reliability and consistency of the current service gave them confidence and reassurance.
We also contacted the local authority commissioning team as part of this review. We were told that there were no issues or concerns in relation to this service.
