During a routine inspection

We spoke with three people who used the service about their care and treatment. Some of these people were unable to fully verbalise their thoughts because of their mental health diagnosis. We were told: 'It's ok. The food's good'. 'I always get my meds on time'. And: 'They treat me ok'.

We found that people who used the service were fully involved in decisions about their care and treatment and consent was always obtained.

We found that care plans for people who used the service were comprehensive and contained sufficient detail for staff to support people to achieve their goals.

People who used the service received their medicine in a safe manner and were encouraged towards independence in respect of medication.

Records we looked at and staff who we spoke with confirmed that the provider had a robust system in place to recruit suitable staff to provide care and treatment for people who used the service.

The provider had systems in place to monitor the quality of the service delivered to people who used the service and to obtain their views and those of others.

During a routine inspection

When we visited there were only three people actually living at the home. We spoke with two people who were using the service during our visit. One of these did not wish to speak with us as part of a more in-depth interview, but did say they did not have any problems or complaints. The other person told us that they were "generally happy" and "I get on with the staff here".
