During an inspection looking at part of the service

People told us that they were happy living in Grapecroft. People said that the staff were kind to them. Relatives told us that things had improved at the service and that they had confidence in the current management team.

During a routine inspection

People with whom we spoke said that they were comfortable living at the home and that they were happy with the food provided. They said that the staff were generally kind and caring.

Relatives with whom we spoke were unhappy with the standards of care provided and the abilities and understanding of care staff, as to the needs of the people living in the home. They felt that the social care provided was limited and that the staff team had a task led approach to care rather than focusing upon the needs of the individual.
