During an inspection looking at part of the service

People do not believe their dignity and independence are being fully supported.

They are not receiving the support they need in a timely manner.

People said the quality of the meals varied, that there was a lack of choice, and that they did not always get the help they needed with cutting up food where they needed this.

There are not enough staff on duty.

During an inspection in response to concerns

There is sometimes a problem with the return of laundry. A lack of staff is resulting in people waiting sometimes for hours to receive assistance with getting out of bed. There were mixed views about the meals provided, and people are not always receiving the assistance they need at mealtimes. People believe there are too few staff at Orchid View to ensure their needs are being met in a timely way.
