During an inspection looking at part of the service

People with whom we spoke during our visit on 19 December 2011 told us that staff are "Very nice and kind" and that they receive "Good care and support". One person said,

"I am happy with the care provided."

One relative told us that; overall, they are very satisfied with the level of care and support provided for their loved one.

People using the service told us that staff helped them with their medication when they needed it.

People told us when we visited that they liked the home, their rooms and that they liked living there.

People told us that they felt well looked after and comfortable talking to the staff about any issues that they had and that the manager was also always available for them to talk to.

During a routine inspection

People told us that they experience very good care and are happy with the service they receive. One person told us 'It's lovely here, it is homely and caring." People told us that they feel well looked after by the staff at Five Stacks. One person with whom we spoke said, "This is my home now and I can be myself." Where people were unable to provide a verbal response or tell us their experiences, for example as a result of their limited verbal communication or poor cognitive ability, we noted their non verbal cues and these indicated that people were generally relaxed and comfortable and found their experience at Five Stacks to be positive.
