During a routine inspection
One person told us 'It's lovely here.' Another person said of the home that "It's wonderful." We found that people's needs were met by their care. A relative explained that 'I picked it because it was the best care home around here. All the girls are nice and caring.'
The service had well established policies and procedures for safeguarding vulnerable adults from abuse and used Oxfordshire's Safeguarding Adults procedures. Staff we spoke with were clear about the definition and signs of abuse and knew the reporting process to follow if they had any concerns about abuse.
The staff that we spoke with told us that they had regular supervision which they found helpful. A range of training and development opportunities were available for staff and we saw direct evidence of this.
We reviewed monthly audits and we saw that the provider conducted quarterly surveys of service quality that included residents, families and staff.
