During a routine inspection
We spoke with one person who used the service about their experience of living in the home. They told us that they liked their home. They commented "I like it in this home'. 'I am happy here' and it's alright'.
People's health, safety and welfare was protected when more than one provider was involved in their care and treatment. The provider worked in co-operation with a range of other providers in ways which made sure people's health, safety and welfare was protected.
People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.
There were effective recruitment and selection processes in place.
The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received. Canary House had established procedures in place for reviewing people's care and support needs at regular intervals.
