Delivering evidence-based care and treatment

Staff monitored people’s health conditions and potential risks were managed with support and advice from specialist health professionals as required.

Staff received specialist training in diabetes, epilepsy and PEG care. Staff were trained and confident to prepare meals and modified diets. System was in place to ensure staff training, skills and competency was monitored and they received regular updates with current best practice.

People received the food and drink that met their needs. People living with diabetes, epilepsy and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) received the care that met their needs.
