We spoke with three people who lived at the home and they told us they liked living there and like the staff. One person told us how much they had enjoyed their recent holiday and going to see Cliff Richard.

Staff we spoke with told us that they loved working at Ferncliffe and supporting the people who lived there.

We found there was a real homely feel with everyone being involved in some activity. Staff were knowledgeable about people's lives, care needs and interests.

Care plans were individualised and person centred and gave detailed information about peoples' lives, interests, preferences and care needs.

There were enough staff on duty to meet people's needs and to support them to follow individual interests.

We spoke with two people that use the service and they told us they like living at Ferncliffe and got on well with the staff. One person told us they were looking forward to going on holiday to Filey.

We spoke with three people who live at the home. They told us the following:

'I like the staff and I am looking forward to going on holiday to Blackpool. There are three of us going with three members of staff.'

'I like my bedroom, it's tidy and I have lots of my own things.'

'I don't like it here and I want to move.'
