Our view of the service

The Oaks Hospital, a private facility in Colchester operated by Ramsay Health Care UK Operations Limited, offers a range of services including diagnostic and screening procedures, family planning, surgical procedures, and treatment for diseases, disorders or injuries. After a prolonged period without inspection, the hospital underwent an onsite assessment on 13 March 2024. During this inspection, we evaluated the hospital's performance in surgery based on key criteria: safe, effective, and well-led. As a result, The Oaks Hospital received an overall rating of Good. The care provided was deemed safe, and the governance arrangements were found to be effective.
