During a routine inspection
We saw people were mostly cared for in bed, or in their room. People looked clean and well cared for and the environment was calm and relaxed. Staff were visible and readily available to support individuals and/or colleagues.
The risk of harm to people from not eating or drinking enough was well managed and professional guidance was sought promptly, when necessary.
Overall people received their medication safely and at the times they needed them, however, some associated record keeping could be improved.
People were cared for by staff who were well trained and who received regular personal support and guidance to enable them to provide safe, appropriate care.
The service had systems in place to make sure people's health, safety and well-being were protected. These included policies and procedures and quality monitoring systems.
