During a routine inspection

People who lived at the home had a learning disability and were not able to tell us about their experiences. Because of this we used a formal way to observe and understand people's experiences. We call this a Short Observational Framework for Inspection (SOFI). We spent 20 minutes in a communal area observing two people. This included their state of well being and how they interacted with staff.

We saw that staff treated people as individuals and supported their independence. We found that people received the care and support they needed and that procedures were in place to ensure the care was delivered safely and protect people's rights.

We found that people received a service from staff that were trained and supported to meet their needs. We saw that the service was monitored to ensure that people's needs were met.
