During a routine inspection
People said they were happy with the care and support they received. Comments included, "I'm as happy as Larry" and "The staff can't do enough for me". Records showed people's care, treatment and support was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan.
Throughout the day we saw people were involved in various activities. Comments included, 'There is always something for us to do" and "We get on well with each other; we entertain ourselves or we can join in". This meant people's activities were tailored to their individual needs and preferences.
People told us they were happy with the staff team. Comments included, "Staff are very nice, very kind" and "Staff are great fun; I get on with them all". They also told us there were sufficient staff numbers to meet their needs.
People had been encouraged to express their views and opinions of the service. One person said, "I can have my say about how things should be".
There were effective systems in place to assess and monitor how the home was managed and to monitor the quality of the service. This helped to protect people from poor care standards and helped to identify any areas of non-compliance.
