During our inspection we spoke with four people who used the service and asked them to tell us how they felt they were being cared for. One person told us, 'People are kind here.' Another said, 'Excellent." We asked people how they felt the staff treated them. One person said, "Can't fault them." We saw that staff asked the people who used the service if they wished to participate in activities and receive support to meet their personal needs. We observed that staff gave people choices.
The service had good medication management procedures in place to ensure that people were safe. There had been three complaints in the past 12 months which the service responded to appropriately which showed that people's complaints were addressed.
We found shortfalls in the provider's support of their staff in terms of supervision, annual appraisals and training provision.
